Yves batardon

Domaine de la Mermière

The domain  has 11 hectares in the AOC Geneva appellation.
The vines are in Soral, on the hills surrounding the village.

In the vineyard,  they cultivate their vines with kindness.
To promote life in the soil, they use organic amendments.
The soils are grassed to avoid erosion, they work them to energize them  when they heat up.
Their goal is to produce healthy grapes.
They protect their vines with organic products.
At full maturity, the grapes are harvested manually and are rigorously selected.

In the cellar, careful aging protects the wines from oxidation, which allows them to  reduce the use of sulphites. They intervene as little as possible on their wines.
Their vinifications are simple and precise.
Their know-how allows them to produce generous wines, reflecting their terroirs.
